"Yeah. Y'know. Ish," he nods, and it's clear he's enjoying toying with her. What's hidden is the nervousness, the excited trepidation that stems from not knowing whether Mindy will like it as much as he hopes. As much as he does.
He'd found this place a few hours after handing Molly over to her aunt and leaving the hospital, the same day he'd pushed Mindy away and built an invisible wall between them, and he'd been going back almost every day since. It's the closest thing to home he's found. It seems fitting to be taking Mindy there today of all days.
