Danny hasn't lost a child in a long time but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen to him tomorrow or the day after or the day after that. There's only so much science can do to overcome mother nature, even when the best of physicians is in control. And he counts Mindy among the best. He couldn't work with her if he didn't.
